Compliance Technology Consultant
Our Client a major WALL St. Firm seeks a Senior
Compliance Technology Consultant. The consultant's
responsibilities woud include:
- Management of the firm’s grey and restricted
trading lists, and was responsible for distributing
information to various trading systems throughout the
firm, including the Investment Banking Division and
various Equity trading systems.
- Trade Surveillance – involved performing
surveillance of customer and firm trading to satisfy
SEC and Exchange regulations. Also supported Rule 144
trade surveillance requirements by supplying trade
information to various Desk heads.
- Market Surveillance – involved performing
surveillance on firm’s orders and executions to NYSE.
Surveillance focused on detection of Trading Along
and Trading Ahead violations.
- Account Surveillance – involved performing
surveillance on firm’s client accounts to detect
excessive trading activity (churning) and/or trading
losses via position transfers (journaling).
- Ability to design and plan project to migrate trade
surveillance, compliance systems and Databases from
from mainframe architecture to relational database
systems and applications.
REQUIRED Technical knowledge:
- JAVA,HTML, C++, Perl, VB, Fortran, VAX:VMS Sun
Solaris Unix, Sybase, Document management and work
flow tools.
- Strong brokerage compliance experience required.

for an ADABAS consultant.
- The assignment is slated for 3 to 6 months. Client is
primarily looking for a DBA; although an ADABAS

- The developing platform is UNIX and NT where Visual C++ is implemented to write object oriented design applications.
DEVELOPMENT (of risk technology software, middle strategic)
- System developers - programming at the infrastructure level of our application, providing 'core' functionality such as object management to the application. Will entail having code run on NT and UNIX there will be some GUI work.
- Middle Office developer - Software application development specific to our middle and back office. Involves strong data base skills, C++ and Perl. Coding consists of script and some GUI.
- Analytical system developer - software application development specific to our trading desk. This is where the strongest candidates come in and where personal presentation counts the most.
